Here are a few tour tips for your holiday:
SCHEFFSNOTHER ALM is located at 1337 m above sea level. There is no road leading to the alpine pasture, so you will not find a managed hut, but an intact and quiet alpine pasture economy in summer. You can reach the alp from Lofer via Knappenstadl and Kematstein or via Strohwollner Schlucht in St. Martin.
KAMMERLINGALM can be reached from Weißbach, above the Hirschbichl. The alpine pasture lies at an altitude of 1290 m. It lies on Austrian territory, but is also farmed by Bavarian farmers in summer and is situated on the steep slope of the 2448 m high Kammerlinghorn. There are a total of 11 alpine huts (called Kaser with us) relatively close together. In summer you can buy milk, buttermilk and small snacks.
