Arrive and feel welcome: at the family-run 4-star superior Almfamilyhotel Scherer, set at 1,450 metres above sea level, you can feel the warm and personal atmosphere from the very first moment. Surrounded by the Alpine meadows of Obertilliach in East Tyrol’s Lesachtal Valley, nature becomes one big playground – with animals and mountain adventures right outside the door.
All accommodation is in spacious suites with separate sleeping areas and plenty of room for precious family time.

From babies to teenagers, everyone is well looked after: loving care for babies and toddlers, adventures with the Himbeergolli team, a 7-metre climbing wall and friendly animals on the hotel farm. Teenagers have their very own space with a lounge, mini bowling, air hockey, billiards, table football and plenty more.

The Almfamily culinary experience focuses on fresh, regional produce and excellent quality, complemented by a dedicated children’s food station at dinner. Enjoy water fun in the 34°C infinity outdoor pool with panoramic mountain views and in the indoor water world with a separate children’s area and Triple Slide.
Fresh summer days, autumn delights and winter magic
In summer and autumn, nature adventures begin right outside the hotel.
AUTUMN EXTRA: From 1 September to 4 October 2026, your rides on the Obertilliach mountain lift are included – perfect for easy family excursions without any additional ticket costs.
In winter, the beginners’ slope, ski school and ski hire are located directly at the hotel – giving little ski stars short distances and the whole family more time to enjoy the snow.
