Altenmarkt-Zauchensee is also one of the top three cross-country skiing regions in Austria and offers pure tobogganing fun.
In summer, the fascinating mountain landscape has just as much to offer: Magic Mountains, the summer club in the mountains, provides 30 activity leaders for children aged 3–17 and adults. Golf enthusiasts can tee off at a total of 15 golf courses in the region.

The highlight of the summer: Magic Mountains. An activity package packed with entertainment for all age groups, featuring age-appropriate supervision, promising endless fun. Group activities, exciting adventures and fun games for children and teenagers aged 3 and over ensure a fun-filled summer holiday. Every day (except Saturdays) from 10.00 am to 9.00 pm, there is “pure action”, as well as an evening programme that changes several times a week, featuring highlights such as: children’s disco, children’s casino, torchlight and spooky walks, night-time tournaments (Youth), show performances at the prize-giving ceremony and much more.
Alpenhof Children’s World
Little ones really come into their own at the Alpenhof family hotel: in the Alpenhof Children’s World, children can run about, play, do crafts, paint and much more across over 250 square metres. Here’s what awaits the little explorers: a soft play area with a slide, a toddler play area for climbing and with a slide, a climbing wall, a supervised play area with childcare for children aged 3 and over for playing, crafting, painting, cooking, puppet theatre and a shop, as well as a puppet play area, a children’s cinema, a new youth room with a T-Wall, table tennis, table football, a Wii games area and a chill-out lounge.Alpenhof Children’s World

Ski School & Childcare
The BALLA Ski School is located right next to our hotel. This makes it easy to combine children’s ski lessons with childcare. As well as age-appropriate courses for children learning to ski, there are also courses for adults, private lessons and snowboard courses.
For children aged 4–6, there is an all-inclusive play & fun package at the Hotel Alpenhof. In the mornings, the little ones attend their ski lessons, then head to the supervised Kids Club for lunch together, and in the afternoons, a play & fun programme with our childcare staff awaits the children. The ideal solution for childcare on holiday, which also gives parents some time together.
